So…Princeton ’10 Really WILL Rock

Rising indi-rock sensation Heitjan is best known in alternative pop/rock circles in the northeast but has also performed in Illinois and Colorado. I’ve heard from friends that there is a growing ‘buzz’ about her in the garage band community. This is someone you’ll be hearing much more about in the future. I’m jealous of the Class of ’10. You guys are going to have GREAT concerts!

“Her songs are lyrical and fresh, full of tranquil contemplations and emotional integrity.” (GarageBand.com)

“Her performances call to mind Sarah McLachlan, Michelle Branch, Tori Amos and The Corrs, but a more apt comparison for her songwriting is the early work of Elton John or Joe Jackson – simple and familiar, yet utterly unique.” (UncommonGround.com)

Hey, this is Phyllis. I found this post because someone on this site saw it, followed the link to my website, and bought my CD. It was quite the pleasant surprise.

First of all, thank you so much!! I’m glad you enjoy my music.
Secondly, may I ask how you stumbled upon my information?

Thanks again!

Phyllis, I’ve been away from the College Confidential boards and didn’t know that you had responded to my post regarding you. (I have to say that it was strange to read your post and wonderful to learn that someone had read mine and then bought your CD. I’m planning to do the same, by the way.) Your music is amazing! One of my co-workers was convinced you must be in your 30s. (That was meant as a compliment!) As to how I learned about you, I found your website through a simple search for “Class of 2010”. After having found it and having listened to your songs I absolutely could not believe what I was hearing. I checked in with friends in Philadelphia and they filled me in on what they had heard about you. One of them had heard you perform live.

I’m delighted that you’ve chosen to attend Princeton and hope that your summer performance tour is a great success!
