I am a student at F&M. Let me start from the end of your post and work backwards… First i cant really comment on how the students here differ from those at bucknell, leigh, and lafayette although i did also apply to lafayette and have a good friend that goes there who absolutly loves it. What are the students like well many students come from wealthier families and a lot of the students are just into themselves and fandm is very cliquish like people stay in their groups and dont really reach out. Greek life is huge!!! If you dont drink and greek life isnt your thing then you are in for some pretty boring weekends. At one such frat party over 250 students received citations for underage drinking… That about a tenth of the school in the basement of one frat house. So the social atmosphere is centered around drinking and greek life plain and simple. Academics at fandm are more like high school how the professors walk you through everything and in terms of easiness. One plus about fandm is that the professors are soo very kind and go out of their way and genuinly care about their students. I hope I answered your questions satisfactorily. If not just put up another post.
