From the 92nd Street Y, you are four blocks to the # 6 local train and six blocks to the # 4 or 5 express trains, all of which go to 42nd Street Grand Central Station. From there it is three blocks to the UN. That would take about 1/2 an hour door to door. You could also take the bus down Lex. A bit slower depending on the time of day.
