Tell Me Where I Stand!

Hey, I’m a high school junior, I’ve started looking for colleges recently. I like to think I’m above average, but I don’t know how I fall into the guidelines for application to top-tier schools, or how I measure up against others. If you all would look this information over and let me know your thoughts, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Sorry if some/most of those things are of little relevance, I just don’t know exactly what is and is not considered, so I thought I would throw it all out there to the more knowledgeable CC community. I know my grades/test scores are a little low, but I feel like a have a number of potential “hooks”.

I’m looking for specifically my chances at a place such as Harvard, because I know several people who went and loved it, but I’m also looking at Northwestern, Wake Forest, UC-Berkeley, Emory, and Dartmouth.

Any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I just want to know where I stand!

Bump! Please??? I’m going crazy! :D

If your projections are right:
Northwestern - low reach
Wake Forest - high match
Berkeley - reach (OOS is INSANE)
Emory - high match
Dartmouth - high reach

Regarding EC’s, you need to know what you’re planning on majoring in. If you planning on poli-sci, put all the political stuff you have down. Same with journalism, theatre, business, and advertising. The Seinfield thing…if it’s advertising and business you’re doing, that could be a big plus. If it’s anything else, leave it out; it sounds ludicrous if you’re doing that and majoring in like pre-med or something.

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/614855-do-not-click-button-if-you-do-though-chance-me-i-ll-chance-you-back.html

You absolutely do not need to know what you’re majoring in or plan EC’s in the direction of a major! Most top colleges could care less and know the majority switch majors several times while in college.

The best info you can get about chances is to reaad here on CC who got in this year.

bump

thanks!

thanks guys! anyone else?
