Theres this friend I know who is a girl and I just realized she looks like one of the singers from a Korean ex-girl group. Do girls take it as a compliment if you say she looks a lot like a celebrity/singer/actress? or is it rude to say it since you are making comparisons with her face to another person?

i’d hold off if you aren’t asian yourself

‘yeah, i think he looks a little bit like denzel’

ah, ‘post racial america’

I think chicks really dont like being compared to other chicks. It doesnt really matter what i say to them, they always take everything the wrong way and think you mean something else or are lying.

Also unless that group is popular, it will probably be awkward, since she won’t know what you’re talking about. It’s like me coming up to you and being like, “Hey! You look like…this guy…that I know.”

Doesn’t really do a whole lot for anyone. I don’t think it’s rude, per se, but of course it could be weird if you’re not Asian. It just isn’t really worth bringing up, imo.

what if I am asian? and korean too. but the group is old so I guess you guys are right…

Oh CC…

I mean, if you guys are close, why not? But, it could be a little awkward and she might not know what to say…

This happens to me a lot. Don’t do it, especially if you don’t know her or are close to her.

Psht. I disagree with everyone else. As long as the celebrity is pretty, there’s no harm in throwing the girl a “you kinda remind me of _____, you should look her up.” My friends and I who have been compared to attractive female celebrities find it kinda flattering.

Ya I do this to every girl I wanna bang. “Hey, you look just like Heidi Klum. You **** like her too?”

grunts etc. ensue

what singer does she look like?

Lee Jin (이진) from the group finkl, they are more than 10 years old

I think she’d take it as a compliment. 이진 is still as beautiful now as ever.
