Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

Oh…Obama is losing in California…

sigh…

i know it is bumming me out. i want him to have cali.
: (

no one on? oh bummer.

I’m on. I’ve scheduled the next three days so that I:

Finish a massive amount of work

Am sleep deprived tomorrow

Am rested for a 5am flight on Friday for a four day debate tournament

Plan for tonight: Stay up all night doing physics labs and Historical Inquiry and math assignment.

going to be brutalll

o illuminar you have my sympathy that sounds major.
:(

i’m still on. wanna chat mls? illuminar - debate tournament? lucky. wish my school had a debate team

Ick. I don’t envy you, illuminar.

sure about what?

elmo do you live in a small town or something. no debate team hmm.

D-Yu: Start one! I honestly can’t explain how much I’ve grown as an individual over the last year and a half as a debater. I’ve learned SO, SO much and have a much deeper understanding of the world around me. A lot of what I’ve learned I don’t think can be matched in a high school curriculum. Plus there are the public speaking skills, friends from around the country because of tournaments (canada, mind you), and traveling.

Also, I’m not exactly pity worthy. A lot of the pile up is a result of my own procrastination and dedicating too much time to my TASP application when I should have been doing work >_>

mls - yeah, a reeaaaalllly small town. 250 kids total in the school. illuminar - i would, but the school is really really really sports oriented. i’m not a bad debator tho’.

no way. that’s the number of my schools like overflow.
ahh d-yu the academics are overshadowed what a bummer.

lol. i can sorta understand my parents obsession w/ SAT’s now (emphasis on sorta :)). they’re the only way to produce my “academic worth” except for TASP, of course. i (used to) be on a parliamentary procedure team tho’. went to nationals.

lol i see. bummer. you seem worthy enough. anywayz i gotta go. school calls, and im starting to lose the debates on why i should get up in the morning. (the lazy half of me is a REALLY good debator) lol

g’nite all. got physics lab to do. thanks for stickin’ around mls.

night haha

I think I’m alone now, among the ghosts and night creatures.

oOoOoOOoOoOoOoOOoOoOoO

hola guys. i know im a little bit late with this thread but i applied to tasp as well, and i’m super-excited to see if i get an interview because it seems so awesome. i dont know how good my essays were because i didn’t get my brochure until like a week before the application was due, and i wrote them all in a day :-/ anyway, i love reading and playing the piano and listening to music and playing tennis. i live in south georgia, and at the moment the sky kind of looks like Day After Tomorrow, if you’ve seen that movie.

A new member! Awesome. Don’t worry about your application to much. I don’t think a single person turned theirs in with absolute confidence.

I love that post-apocalyptic type weather. (:

The news today covered nothing but Super Tuesday results and tornadoes.

The weather here is wonderful too: freezing rain, followed by hail, followed by larger hail. There were at least 2 car accidents in the school parking lot too, thanks to the ice. Although it was kind of funny watching people slip and fall in walking between buildings…
