which makes rejection even worse cuz i know that whatever i had before im missing that but put a big, fat exponent on it.
a more specific question would be ideal, unless that was all you wanted.

<p>hudson: yes we did pubspeaks. basically everyone sat on the couches and we spent designated days presenting our powerpoints or whatever media it was. people would ask questions after, arguments often flaired up due to the subject matter (nothing out of the ordinary). the tutors (factota for tasp) would go over them with us. they ranged from greek mythology to black holes, to one that asked alot of racial questions (eg. why do white women have no booty?) (dont ask. lol.)</p>
<p>earil: since it was tass it was mostly black children, as with anywhere cliques emerged but nothing unbreakable. we went through a round of nicknames, people were nice and there was alot of trips we made to where ever in groups.
conversations ranged from what we do here at our highs to what we do at our lows (eg. hudson wearing girl’s clothing. which one boy did for a day. hehe.) but we werent all talk all the time. there was a bit of dvd watching. football playing and the like.</p>

<p>well neither did we, you dont have to. it is just a presentation from someone who did happen to know something and shared that with us. it was just an example.</p>
<p>i know not all are, it was a pubspeak that was quickly put together and not too serious.lol.
preferably since people know they are coming, you should have an idea what your gonna do in advance. you dont have to. depending on your factota, they might have a different schedule for presenting blah blah blah. pubspeaks are akin to a school project. you know its coming you can either do it through procrastination or not. topic usually are at the sole discretion of the creator. ( i imagine there might be a topic they wouldnt want to have presented but i doubt you’ll be that case)</p>
<p>So you could just use the topic you used for your application essay if you were extremely lazy?</p>

<p>you can. but be mindful of your audience. pubspeaks usually happen at the end of the seminar, do you want people to have to suffer through a semi-cared for speech. or remember the discussion creating presentation?</p>

<p>argh. what even makes a “good” TASP essay?</p>
<p>I’d say it’s well-written, interesting, and it doesn’t stop when the words run out. It keeps you thinking, drawing more parallels to other things you know about. It makes you want to draw the author out of the paper and say something like, “Are you kidding me?” or just ask them a million more questions about their work.</p>
<p>But shucks, what do I know.</p>
