I suppose… But the fact that anyone I meet on here lives several hundred miles away won’t help me.

Evil grin Chew toys.

YIKES!

but we can still talk and use smilies to crudely somewhat express emotions :)

Still, sucks to miss out on the typical teenage relationship. Not the bad kind, the nice ones.

at least u have a relationship…

Ugh, teenagers are so dumb. I think I hate us all.

nah… there’s still at least a FEW of us worthy of friendship and admiration (like me!;))

Hmmm… Admiration…

what about it? i admire a lot of people (a few of them from this thread)

What should people admire about you?

me? flexibility, accepting, sarcastic humor (gotta love it!), relatively intelligent, logical, straightforward, honest

don’t wanna sound toooooo cocky :D

So other than your ego, what do you want to talk about?

hey now… i wasn’t being THAT cocky am i? my bad if i was (i hate arrogant people too, btw)

hmmm… idk really… its a little late for serious debate, and there’s obviously only 2 of us, soo… how about who’s ur least favorite teacher and why (nothin’ like railing on a hated person to cleanse ur soul :p)

I just like to tease.

I actually don’t dislike any of my real teachers, but my student teachers can all go back to the awful universities from whence they came (except my physics S.T.- she’s awesome). In chronological order, my APUSH student teacher is awful. He has a really awesome/awful name (Zeb Axelrod- he sounds like the lead singer in an eighties hair band) and he’s kind of sexist, awful at trying to teach us things (reading notes off of a sheet does NOT constitute teaching) and he always runs over the class period and is shouting stuff at us as we head out the door. Also, he has a habit of mispronouncing words to great detriment. “Minstrel Show” became “Menstrual Show” …

My Latin student teacher is just really boring. We’re translating The Aeneid, which is boring anyway, but she’s only making it worse. And my English one is very patronizing. We do graphic organizers. I haven’t done those since about 4th grade.

You?

PS This is awesome: [Zombie Lurch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Zombie walk - Wikipedia)

menstrual show… NICE ONE.

well there’s my physics teacher, who dropped everybody’s grades 10% just cuz she was upset at us. she SERIOUSLY needs an ego deflation. one day, we were deriving a formula, and i suggested distributing. she looks directly at me and emphatically says NO. guess what we’re doing 5 minutes later? distributing. aaagggghhh. she hates me. idk why. next year we should paint a swatstika above her door as a senior prank

i just checked out the link . all i’ve gotta say is wow…

Heh, I’d totally protest for zombie rights.

I hate it when you do a problem in physics (and finish five minutes before everyone else) then the teacher starts to do it on the board differently, so you erase what you have and do what they do. Then two minutes later you’re mad at yourself for writing all their crap down because you got the same answer.

I totally called my physics student teacher out once for a problem she made up. It was about an alpha particle accelerating in an electric field, and we had to find out how fast it would be going at the end of a certain time period. The answer was some number to x10^13, and I said that I thought nothing could go faster than the speed of light unless it’s traveling backwards in time… And she slowly responded “…Yes. In fact I just stuck that in there to test you all.”

lol. that happens to us too. one time our teacher was showing us a momentum problem. when we came up w/ the output energy being greater than the input energy, she called us idiotic cuz of rounding errors. but after that, our answer was still off from the book. THEN she tells us that we were using the wrong equation all along…

Aww, that sucks. A lot of my friends have an awful teacher for physics, which must be terrible. I’d do alright- my dad’s an engineer, so he can pretty much explain anything I need to know about physics to do well in the class- but my teacher is really great about it. He makes all these flash animations and everything. I think he has too much time on his hands.

oohh… what kind of engineer? my dad’s one too (chemical engineer). my teacher is ALWAYS COMPLAINING about not having enough time.

Mechanical, and a damn good one. He’s done some neat stuff for the government that I can’t talk about.
