It WREAKED havoc on the surrounding city, or it reeked of rotting fish guts, Elmo?

This is why you improvise. The NYC trip is totally free, I just had to sell about 300 boxes of peanut brittle to go on it.

Elmo, the fact that his nickname is Don Juan was his saving grace. They saw that at the top of the manliness survey, and figured he was okay and didn’t read the rest of it.

hey, sounds with * around them are my thing…

and i guess the name “elmo” just denies me entrance to the manliness convention. but if i used my REAL name “lmoe - last man on earth” NOT THE ONE MISINTERPRETED BY OTHER PEOPLE they’d be literally begging me to come

Oh man. Not even I am lonely enough to set up a ‘convention’ to meet people. Convention screams D&D nerds and engineering students, pleased by the potential efficiency of the event.

hey lets not get stereotypical here… i’ve been to a national convention and it WAS NOT nerdy… albeit some of the antics were a bit on the cheesy side…

well, first of, you have to say, “con”, not “convention.” (:

Saying star wars convention is mildly acceptable, but if you want to go for total nerd points, you have to say, “starcon,” or some other lame slang. (:

Sorry, I was just speaking of what’s typical for my sister’s friends… She’s big into the gaming scene at her college and her friends, while admittedly fun, are also incredibly nerdy. (: I would probably go to a con to meet some webcomic artists, like Jeph Jacques of Questionable Content.

Are either of you listening to music, right know? I feel like listening something I don’t know all the words of, and I need some recommendations.

Most definitely. (: Donny, do you read the xkcd blog too? This conversation reminded me of the post about the impromptu xkcd con they had with the coordinates from some comic about losing hope?

Donny, what kind of musical mood are you in?

I don’t keep up on the blog, but I always read QC’s mini blog that comes with every new comic.
As for what mood I’m into, I fell like something that moves fast…

They seem really familiar, like I think a site I frequent was talking about religion in music, and this was referenced. Or maybe I’m having deja vu. (:

Fast is tough for me. Mostly my music is slow and pretty.

Well, there’s Muse in the pop-y rock genre. A few of their harder songs should be fast. Long Knives by Rainer Maria is fast and also kickass. Um, The Tension and The Terror by Straylight Run? Fast really stumps me. Not got much in that area at all.

I don’t mean “death metal fast”, I mean something like mika or m.i.a., where the singer never really stops to enunciate a word for more than a second. No worries though, I fired up pandora. (:

Oh, Mika is fun. I should get some of his music. I totally want to be like Grace Kelly when I grow up. Or Audrey Hepburn. Apparently, I look like her…
