Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

i’d like to be dumped into any major city i guess. do whatever for like month on my own. perfect opportunity to get lost and find myself.

Oh, that was something that didn’t occur to me. What if I did my trip spelunking around the Northeast and a little border crossing into Canada?
Really, my main interests lie in New England, and Canada would be a definite plus.

i hate the thought that i have never been outside this country, much less to the majority of /this/ country.

Canada is pretty awesome. The exchange rate is crap now, but they have great candy bars! Coffee Crisps all the way. Toronto is a really great, ethnic-y international city… I think Fridge used to live thereabouts, definitely in Canada somewhere. You should talk to her about it.

Speaking of the fridge, where are elmo and fridge?
I’ll ask her later, that’ll get me some good info.

off having a secret PM romance.

I hope they come along soon. Otherwise, I might be tempted to actually do my schoolwork! Definitely need a distraction on that front.

with that i’ll still be on but consumed by physics studying.

I suspected it all along. (:

So, my classic question, “what’s everybody listening to?”
I’m listening to an awesome band by the name of The Harlem Shakes.

If i’m speaking about music, I’ll say that there’s a great site called songza. If you ever want to find a song, but it’s not on youtube, songza is great for that. It’s the google of music.

Bwahaha, I don’t have another Physics test until the end of next week. Also, it won’t be anything worth studying for, I’m pretty sure.

I am checking out Of Montreal, because I have heard many a good things about them lately. I have heard approximately 30 seconds, and I really like it so far!

my class is on magnetism and like induction. it is not hard but i need to look at the equations and the mock test. and im listening to “nothing ever matters” by lauryn hill. you always catch me when im /not/ listening to a band.

We just started current today… Right before break last week, we talked about induction/conduction/ beginning electricity stuff.

ahh very nice.

Seriously, mls, you’re the queen of solo singers. (:
Of Montreal ia one of the bands that I vaguely know, but have no idea what they sound like. I just did a search and am listening to them right now.
They’re not bad.

and i can live with that title.

They’re interesting. Pretty hipster, and I have a feeling that if I listen to them in twenty years, they’d be good for a laugh, but they seem fun for now. They’re like a more energetic Shins, kinda.

I wonder the kind of music elmo and fridge listen to; I don’t think they’ve ever been in on the music discussion. That or I’ve got horrible memory, which is true. By my second day of work, I had forgotten everything that I had learned the first day;believe me, that did not make a good impression on my boss. :P

I am pretty sure Elmo hasn’t been… I have a vague feeling that Fridge was, but I don’t remember either. I remember the dumbest, random details about people and then forget their names or something.

Songza is kind of awesome. I am very excited about this. I can raise my music snobbery to new levels!

Yes, bask in the glorious snobbery that is music elitism.

well, other than the usual,
currently I’m loving Newton Faulkner. he’s very jack-johnson-esque.

I’ve been recently listening to a lot of The Coral and Locksley and The Vines
and I’m kind of obsessesed with that Strokes/Regina Spektor song, Modern Girls and Old Fashioned Men
