Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

What!? Like giraffes!?
I tried that ten second thing, cira, and felt…weird. Like more scared than happy. I feel I will be less than her expectations hold me up to me, and when the eventual fallout happens, we won’t be compadres anymore.
Did I just say compadres?

i should probably mention she’s taller than me by one or two inches. Throw that into the equation and square the independent variable.

She’s bored with her usual demographic and wants something new, and you’re cute and just different enough from her type to intrigue her, maybe?

Fear is a normal chief component of having a crush on someone. My Jewish boy scares me into paralysis.

The zoo thing was a remnant from a conservation you weren’t here for, Hudson. She’s into you; ask her out. Ask her out. Ask her out. Call her tomorrow. TOMORROW!

And do NOT go to a movie. DON’T. Movies SUCK as first dates; I’ve done them, and I know. Go anywhere that involves actual interaction between the two of you. Coffee’s always good (hot chocolate for me, though. I hate coffee.).

I bet giraffes are awesome to hug.

Hmm… Too much anxiety might not be a good indicator. Is it a good kind of nervous or a bad kind of nervous? Do you feel really, really comfortable when you’re around her, a little nervous, what?

Yes, nervousness is a big part of a crush, but if you can’t speak or function properly, what kind of relationship will that be?

No! Fear is good! I love my Jewish boy and I’m scared to death when he’s talking to me. Fears shows you care what they think of you.

Earil: A very hopeless one. Hence my situation, dear. But Hudson speaks to her on a regular basis, so his case is fortunately unlike this and mine.

Donny, we can’t tell you if you like her or not. She probably likes you. I’d say, spend some more time with her, hang out with her with friends and steal a few moments alone with her and see how you feel about them. Ask her out if you think it could work, but don’t drag her heart along if you don’t think it will.

When I’m with her, my mind is at super fast processing speeds, trying to think of something to say. I don’t think i’ve mentioned it, but I usually hate to talk. I’m actually astounded by how open I am on this forum. The anonymity really helps. If it was up to me, I would only speak when I had something worth while to say, but I’m in the minority. Most people, like to talk, to hear other people’s voices and such. This is what contributes to my nervousness with taking the plunge. on a date, I don’t think I would say anything. :stuck_out_tongue:
If it was just me and her alone, however, I would be totally fine, though. In a group or around more than two other people, I clam up fast.

Upon rereading this, I realize it sounds contradictory. When I say if it was just me and her alone, I mean no one for miles and miles around to hear us. At all other times, we’re around other people, and i feel like some one is trying to listen to what I’m saying, thinking how stupid I sound/look. I’m fully aware that this is all paranoia.
Also, cira, I’ve been alone with her plenty of times. It makes me feel nice when I’m with her. Not euphoria, but a from of content that I rarely experience. As if, all that matters right now is talking about whatever it is we’re talking about.

We all speak much more and much more eloquently here than we do in real life, Hudson. That’s the Internet; here, no one cares who you really are. You can be anyone you want here.

I vote that Hudson likes her and that he should take her to the most convenient first-date location that isn’t a cinema. It’s a coffee shop for my school because you can walk there from the school and they have delicious drinks with long names.

i think your forcing your frustration on hudson porna. but then again if your motivated enough to actually go out of your norm and chat it up with her, give it a shot. either way you cant keep letting her drop hits thinking she is going to wear you down or something.

go to some special feature about ur city that neither have been to before

Could you talk about music with her? You seem to be very well informed about that. It’s always a good fallback conversation topic. Anything pop culture related, really.

I’m more of a listener, too. It’s more interesting to let other people talk about themselves, and they tend to like it lots.

You could always pull the accidental-on-purpose making plans with several other people who conveniently fall through and her, so you’re alone but without the pressure of having to ask her out.

do you discuss pb&j with her?
and i think you have mentioned it something about giving away parts of your soul or some such.

and people can talk about themselves forever if you let them.

Of course I’m forcing my frustration on him, but I’m also right and you know it. I’m right much more often than anyone would expect me to be. It sounds like he likes her and I bet he does, so why shouldn’t he ask her out?

It isn’t true that people can talk forever about themselves; many more people would like to listen. Talking requires effort, and in the best cases, thought. Listening requires silence and very little effort whatsoever. It’s the American way.

porna if you look above at post 5709 i agreed with you.
and who said the talking would be worth the energy they are using up. ive been subjected to many a pointless rant.

I don’t know what I’m gonna do. As far as i know, we could have already gone on quite a few dates, and I didn’t even realize it. :stuck_out_tongue:
Would some one else like to take my spot on the examining pedestal? Anybody?

no, mls, she has yet to learn of the curiosity that is my PB&J science.

depends on the conditions don - is she hot? :D

Well, I’ve already told you all about tonight’s Mouthless Wonder, and you all know I love my Jewish boy hopelessly and to an unhealthy degree and that he’ll never know or feel the same, and that’s fine. We all know Earil is taking applications from any and all who do not have sisters that resemble her. D-Yu is a horny, unsuccessful (as far as I know) Asian monkey, so I guess Panic’s the only one left that hasn’t dished.

Does anyone else have a romantic situation worth dissecting? There’s Porna and her bonny Jewish lad…

Ugh, my life is pathetic.

and elmo is soo next on the chopping block for that amazingly intelligent comment. lol.
so tell us elmo what are your problems???

and i dont think your soo clueless that you would have not noticed a date pass by hudson. give yourself some credit your don juan after all.

i’ll choose to ignore that cuz i don’t listen to people i don’t respect
