Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

I want to get a job as a page at the library. I know and vaguely like a few of the girls who work there, and my sister used to work there. Plus I’d get to be around books all the time! Also, it would be better than working at a fast food place with all its greasy temptations.

Seriously Donny, how do slushies and mixed nuts go together?

off to dinner for now (it’s 5:30 here, thus i do NOT eat dinner late;))

Ask my boss, cira. I’ve seriously had people order a cone of nuts and a cherry slushie at the same time…I don’t get how someone could think cinnamon pecans and cherry ice cream go together.

If elmo’s going, i should too. Chapter twenty-two of my APUSH book won’t read itself, despite all of my attempted voodoo magic, for tomorrow’s test. I don’t know if I’ll be back, but in case I’m not, see ya, everybody.

Cinnamon pecans sound incredibly delicious. I make these cinnamon-y almonds that are pretty damn good, but I bet pecans would be even better.

Oh fine, if you’re going to be a semi-responsible student, I will too. sigh

i’m back. and eww… cinnamon - go for the caramelized pecans… delish

been listening a lot to the following:
the way we get by/spoon
jacqueline/the coral
riot van/arctic monkeys
modern girls and old fashioned men/the strokes/regina spektor
butterflies and hurricanes/muse

Cinnamon is wonderful! It’s warm and comforting just a little bit spicy…

not with nuts tho’, the flavors just don’t blend

No, they totally do. If we’re at TASP together this summer, I’ll make you my almonds and you will see and taste how wrong you are.

Every debate should end with the losers “tasting” their defeat. (:
I’m only half way done with my chapter, some other stuff came up before i could start. Anyway, I’m just procrastinating right now…
Oh yeah, the nuts are glazed in sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; when they’re done, the have a shiny, brown gloss. Just saying, you know, if anyone cares…

Please don’t make me go finish reading about the Progressive Era…

Don’t worry, Donny, we can procrastinate together.

Mine are done with whipped egg whites, butter and a ridiculous amount of cinnamon. Mm, mm, tasty!

Yay! somebody else is here!
I can only chat for a minute though; I seriously do have to go read this chapter. :P

So, what is your dream school? Everyone has a vague notion of where they’re going to go.

caramel’s the way to go

Nobody has a dream school? Elmo, you’re a guy, how does Deep Springs, the apple of my eye, appeal to you? I believe you already stated your opinion, but I’m afraid I don’t remember.

I guess you guys were simultaneously killed off by ninjas. (:
Night, I’m off to the bat cave to read about President Roosevelt.

me? with my amazing martial arts skills? NEVER! whips out katana alas this warrior has to go take a shower now…

My internet totally conked out just as I was trying to post this, and didn’t come back to life. Sorry Donny!

Princeton, for sure. Though the Telluride House at Cornell would be a close second. The amazing research at Princeton attracts me, and the intellectual community of the TH and the resources of Cornell are amazing. You?

By the way, it’s fifty five glorious degrees out! I haven’t seen the sun shine like this for months! It smells like spring and it’s a wonderful, warm-ish day!

OMG I GOT AN INTERVIEW!!!

It was the most unexpected thing of my life

I was 99.99% confident I was going to be rejected.

everybody should be getting letters this week!

In shock

Awesome! High five!

…But you’re a jerk for finding out early. grumbles Just kidding, I’m just going to continue freaking out more.
Are you in the PNW area?
