thank you innocentaku for increasing the already high stress level even more…;)

I was accepted to an interview for TASS! I’m so excited!

Good news for yall. I called in today (during business hours!), and was rejected. The woman who answered the phone told me that acceptance letters have been mailed, but not rejection letters.

Awwww, Classik. I don’t know you, but you seemed fairly nice and you capitalized at the right times, so I’m sorry.

Wait: I thought it was that you couldn’t call until Friday? Call, others! Call like the wind!

thanks earilmadith
theyve mailed out acceptance letters and not rejection ones yet? that’s harsh yo

Oh no! I’m sorry Classik.
Hugs for all who got interviews and all who didn’t.
I haven’t gotten any mail yet. Is this a bad sign?

Think of it like this… the longer you go now without a letter in the box, the more likely you are to be rejected. Hehe, I can be cynical now that fortune has stabbed me in the back. :)

Well, we all know where 3/4 of this thread’s occupants are going to be tomorrow at 7 a.m: hovering by the mailbox for their dreams to come home in a thin envelope (there’s only 1 sheet in it, since they arrange the times later). TASP prepares people for the rejection and despair and obsession with snail mail to come next year.

ugh i just want to find out already

Classik,
In that case, I suppose I am screwed…
It shouldn’t take over two days for the mail to get here…if the letters were mailed on March 3 from the New York office. Should it? Don’t answer that!
I believe I have just rationalized myself into rejection…
I’ve become too attached to the people on this thread. It’s so sad to think I won’t get the chance to meet you all… :(

Does anyone know the number to call? I calling right at 7 tomorrow, as I’m sure everyone else is.

And, thanks to wink’s logic, I am hovering on depression. Kinda. Not really.

That’s it. I’m founding CASP. Classikal Association Summer Program, hosted by various locations such as my house and my backyard. Seminar topics include “Hermitology and Post-Modernism: Where did All the Buffalo Milk Go?”, “Suburbia[.com], Culture and Music”, and “Which President Would You ***? A Comparative Analysis”. We only accept 98% of applicants, so get those half-page applications ready, 'cause it’s first-come, first-serve. Open Kitchen!

^ You never know… the post office might be messing with you ;)

We did have a winter storm yesterday; maybe the post office got snowed in or is moving very slowly or something. That’s my only consolation. ![]()
Then again, someone from Farmington Hills posted that they got a letter. That’s only some 20 miles from where I live…

I can’t believe that I’ve become so neurotic about a summer program that I will, statistically speaking, be rejected from anyway.

Haha CASP. Where do I sign up?

wait, doesnt the office open at 9?

Umm… If that’s true then… Eight! I will be calling at eight! I’m an hour behind Telluride.

yeah i’m getting nervous too. i think i wrote good essays, so i thought that would get me to the interview (even if it’s really tough to get in from that point). when does the office open/close (specify what timezone please!)?

Eastern.10char

Thanks, Classik

10char? What does that mean?
