Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

^10 characters. This helps to meet the minimum requirements for the amount of letters and words used in a post.

^
HAHA.
Sorry, I just had to laugh at your expense Zach.
The minimum required character number per post is 10.
So when people post with fewer characters, they add “10 char” so it will post.

EDIT: nevermind; too late.
Hi BlackDreamer! You’re from around my part of the country…
Gosh darnit, I hope we can get our Dem. delegates seated, don’t you?

hmm… its probably a bad thing that i haven’t recieved anything yet… do the letters mail from New York? i’m confused since some PNW people have already recieved theirs

Maybe it’ll take longer for the Southern states (FL) and the middle-country ones to get theirs, then, if they’re mailing from NY. I know nothing of the postal system. (cradling letter in lap and petting it in-between schemings)

Well I am highly concerned now. Florida is not /that/ far from NY… why would they send rejections later…? That is just mean.

I just don’t get why they didn’t e-mail everybody first or at the same time instead of snail mail first. Maybe one of the qualifications for being a TASP judge is to have a penchant for teenage sadism.

i don’t see why they don’t just e-mail everyone first

EDIT : porna you’re reading my mind! gah! hmm… you’d have the qualities for a good judge then, porna

I think that the Floridians are safe…for now.
I fear that my head is on the chopping block at this point, however.
And why do they have to send out rejections later? Not cool.
Yes, email would be preferable…and cheaper too! Ugh.

@wink: Yes! Definitely! I wish you luck on getting an interview notification! Which TASP did you apply for? I applied for the Seminar I TASS @ U of M!

I’m sorry; I’ll try to cut back on the mind-reading until all the interview news is in.

Dreamer: Yeah, baby. U of M for the environminty (in the TASP seminar) win.

Though rare there is the possibility that some applicants dont have email.

I’m new, I’m sorry haha.

So the number for the Cornell office is 6072735011. Is that the one that we should be calling?

Also, is 9 the confirmed time that they open?

BD -

Uh…I didn’t apply for any particular TASP (I would be happy with any of them!) but my order of preferences was: Cornell II, UT, UMich, Cornell I. UMich just sounded a little too…close to home, ya know? I don’t want my parents dropping by every other day…:p

But I wish you the best of luck in the interview round! Darn you Telluride, keeping me on edge.

Does TASS have interviews? What are the statistics (applying versus admitted)?

you know what would be meaner? if they snail mail acceptances and then, a week letter, just email rejections

Standard Mail Estimated Time of Delivery: 2 to 9 days
(The USPS does NOT guarantee delivery of Standard Mail.)

The postal service will be the cause of my ulcer.

that would suck a$$ (@purell)

@Wink: Yeah, I feel ya… I was thinking about applying for a Cornell Seminar or UT seminar next year…

right now… i’m more worried about the letter.

I think im going to call in, by the time the mail comes in it is past four. :(
