good luck you guys! i haven’t checked this thread for awhile, but i realized that you’ll probably know in a couple of days (exciting!). remember that TASP isn’t a penultimate measure of your academic and personal worth. and for those of you who don’t get in, apply for something else or try something new this summer. get a fun summer job (don’t work at cold stone’s… horror stories), take a course in something you’re interested in, learn how to cook, plant a tree. whether or not you get into TASP, it’s not an end-all-be-all.

and for those of you who are going, prepare for an absolutely amazing six weeks message me if you have questions, especially if you’re going to the michigan seminar!

1) The last time henn wakes up and directly turns on the computer to lurk around this thread brushing his teeth and shaving with one hand while the other is typing.*sigh…

I already made a booklist of what to borrow in case I make my first choice seminar plus searched for a bridge to jump of in case I don’t ._.

after a month of wishing that time could speed up, now… i’m dreading tomorrow and it’s impending rejection! :(

… GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS! i’ve promised myself that the next time i post, it’ll be with my results. haha. i have the “there can be miracles” song (from the prince of Egypt) stuck in my head.

“There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it’s hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe”

… okay. so for those of you in serious doubt, there’s always HOPE! yay!
who am i kidding… but whatever, again, GOOD LUCK!

gah it is second cuts and we still haven’t broke 500 pages. for about 50% of tasplicants the bell tolls for thee. i plan to call in due to some circumstances that do not allow me to wait patiently for the mail because i don’t think they send emails…

Good luck to all you brave souls who are calling tomorrow! I’ll sacrifice a small mammal for you in the backyard shed. (And then several large mammals for myself.) :D

So last year I called in… I was actually at home sick that day, but thats besides the point.

So basically you call the main number (607-273-5011). Then you say Hi, my name is so and so, and I would like to inquire into the status of my TASP application.

They will ask you how to spell your last name. The most painful 3 seconds while they look down the list ensue (feels like forever).

Then either they will say congratulations! you are in this seminar! in the following weeks you will be contacted by your Factota regarding this summer. As well as some paperwork will be sent to you in the mail. There is no need to call back about this as it is on its way.

If you dont get in…
I believe the call goes like this.

I am sorry so and so, you have not been accepted into TASP this year. Thank you for applying and for making it to the interview stage. Good luck and have a good day.

I have no idea what happens if you are on the waitlist, but I am sure its an amalgamation of both.
