Movies…I don’t know. I really don’t have much time to watch movies. I like /Three Days of the Condor/ for some reason, and also /O Brother, Where Art Thou?/. Out of recent films…/Juno/ was good, but overhyped. Hopefully I’ll get to see /No Country for Old Men/ soon.

What about yourself?

No Country for Old Men FTW! I saw it, but make sure your with someone who can appreciate a movie like it. I saw it with a friend who wasn’t too into kinda out there movies.

Oh yeah, I’m back! I’m mad I missed out on Eugenics(I’m against).

Best movie is American Beauty. I probably should have said “my favorite.” How do you judge what movie is the best movie? That’s a rhetorical question, everybody. That would be a one of our weirder debates.

I’ve wanted to see Juno for a while. I’ve been trying but everytime I make plans to go see it, something goes miserably wrong.

I like interesting, thoughtful films, foreign films, Holocaust films a lot. I loved Adrien Brody in The Pianist. I also like how foreign films seem to place more emphasis on atmosphere and dialogue than twenty-something attractive males undergoing physical pain on screen.

It would be interesting, the best movie debate. Because personal taste varies so much, important categories to some would be useless to others. What about critical and popular reception? Should they matter at all?

Yay St. Hudson! The eugenics debate was great. It was very thought inducing.

If we get off the movies thing, I’ve a new topic for debate which should be interesting.

I saw Juno three times. I practically recited the movie in my head the last time. I’m not a fanatic, just I went with three different people who hadn’t seen it yet.

critical and popular reception shouldn’t matter, it should all be your opinion of the movie, and since choosing the best movie is a subjective process, there is no “BEST MOVIES EVA.” Kinda like how perfection doesn’t exist. Generally, however, the merits of a movie are clear to all its viewers, such as movies with a distinct purpose that transcends the silver screen, like if they’re Holocaust-centered.

i wandered, but like the prodical son ive returned. hehe.

Oh! What did you have in mind, Earilmadith? I’m ready and rearing!
Wow, I can’t believe I typed that last sentence…

I accept you panicpower, for you have returned to your father. hehe. What, that is how the story goes, right?

yeah. lol. sounds like starwars somehow to me…

Inspired by this handy little diagram: http://www.shof.msrcsites.co.uk/sins.jpg

Which of the seven deadly sins is the worst?

id say gluttony cuz your hurting yourself more than anything.

Come to the dark side, Luke, for we have half-off discounts on donuts on Wednesdays.

lol, I just saw BG! Priceless

Good one! I’m gonna take a minute to think about this one.

my english teacher had a poster like that. it said come to the dark side we have cookies.

Wouldn’t wrath be worse, because you’re hurting other people?

yeah but other people can abandon you and they will be ok. its when your your biggest enemy that it is worse. others can always break you down and that’s whatever. anything that messes you up and only you is the worst in my opinion.

sloth, although fat men in speedos are also disgusting. really, that’s a major part of what’s wrong with society. slackers are dragging the hard-working people down (aka middle class) with ineffectiveness, welfare (don’t get me started on that) and simply put, deserve to be put in a forced-labor camp

They all have great potential to be catastrophically destructive. If I had to chose, I’d have to go with the uncreative wrath. However, everyone knows that the greatest evil plaguing society today is fat men in speedos. Edible undies are a bit disturbing as well.

Forced labor camp FTW! What, were you kidding?, cause I totally was too.

Do you honestly believe those on welfare should be put in forced labor camps for public service, D-Yu?
