It might go up if you take the ACT and get a score of 33 or higher, but your UW GPA and scores are a bit low. That being said, your essays and recommendations could hit it out of the park and the cancer survivor could be really great to talk about. I do know your chances are always much greater if you apply. A self-study ACT and SAT online course might go a long way in helping you.

Thank you! I’m planning on getting an ACT practice book in addition to the online ones I’m doing. My HS doesn’t offer many AP classes, so I’ve only taken 1 so far. I’ll take 3 this coming year, so hopefully that will help with my GPA.

I think your academics and EC’s are relatively mediocre (unless you boost that ACT and UW GPA). I think def focus on your traveling and languages as that is the most unique. It also matters how proficient you are in these languages, as not taking an AP test for the languages or getting an award for it or doing some program related to these programs might cause question. What you listed under hooks is really strong
