My DD is a student at Columbia College in Chicago. She is in the school blues ensemble and they will be performing at the Chicago Blues Festival from June 12 - 14. Unfortunately, that means that she has to find a place to live for about four weeks after school wraps up. She has to stay in the city for rehearsals, so we can’t fly her home and back to Chicago for the festival. She has to be out of her dorm on May 17th. Does anyone have any ideas where she could stay?
@twoinanddone - That was my thought also; there are only a couple other girls in the group and she thinks they have apartments, but possibly no room. I’m going to have her double-check. Thanks.
My son stayed in this Gold Coast apartment building for his student teaching a year ago. They do short term rentals. The apartment had an agreement with the educational program he was there with, so we didn’t have to deal with costs - it was included in the fees we paid to his school/program.
His apartment was nothing amazing, but suitable enough, clean enough, roomy enough. The location was GREAT. Gold Coast, walk to so much in minutes, safe for Chicago, grocery store a block away, subway 1-2 blocks away. Secure entry to apartment with someone manning the entrance.

@toledo - Hi, thank you and yes I am actually checking in to this option. I just found this out a couple days ago and have been trying to work out the logistics. Whether or not they can accommodate her for the whole time or not and also the cost.
