One quick question…
Which school is better for business (Cornell AEM or CMU Tepper)

I know its gonna be tough for me to get into either of those schools…
but I just want to have an opinion from others (i like both of em; i visited both of em too)

please… any comments will be appreciated!!

My prediction: impossible to predict.

I think you have the qualifications for either school stat-wise, and of course the patent and WE look good.

Unfortunately Tepper’s gotten very selective esp in the past couple years, acceptance rate in the teens last year and undoubtedly lower this year so you have to contend with that. Still I think you have a decent chance.

Cornell business (I assume that’s what AEM is dont feel like looking it up) is usually ranked similarly to Tepper so I’d rate them roughly equal.

Good luck.

im applying to other schools too so i guess i wanna get into all of em
but i really wanna get into a prestigious undergrad b-school or an ivy league school

thanks everyone (happy new yr!)
more comments are welcomed!!

Cornell AEM is pretty reputable considering its a relatively new program, however, it is no match for the Tepper School of Business which always ranks top 10 around the 5, 6, 7 range, whereas Cornell AEM is about 11th, Tepper also is ranked by the WSJ as 3rd for recruitment, although Cornell is an ivy league, Tepper is the way to go… at least in my opinion

nice nice… but what is my chance of getting in realistically (honest opinions please… be brutal!!)

I’d say you definitely have as good a chance as anyone. First off, the patent looks extremely impressive to me. Also, being a senior editor of a school newspaper is generally considered to be quite a good thing in college admissions. Of course, its always impossible to predict, but I think you have quite a good shot.

Asian male? Whoops, no. You’ve got no chance.

Just kidding. It may count against you very slightly, but don’t worry. As long as your essays are strong, etc… You’ve got a good chance, IMO.

Of course, I’m just an applicant as well, so please don’t take me particularly seriously.

omg that’s so funny i went to lead america too
did you go to the global business and entrepreneurship program?

ya the one at Fordham
