TerpNet - ***! (Username and Image)

OK, this makes no sense to me.

I went to register for TerpNet and I filled out the first form, nothing surprising just general info. But, then the second step starts with a Name and Picture field.

Somehow, and I have no clue how, they had autofilled my account name and my profile picture. This profile picture, as far as I know, is only visible on a game that I play and mentioned in my essay.

Did they really download the game, register, and grab my picture?

Note: I’m an experienced web developer, and I really can’t fathom how they did this otherwise. When I tried registering with a different email, the picture and account name were not autofilled.

Scary. Very big-brother.
Anyway, I don’t get this TerpNet thing. Someone needs to tell UMD that this already exists and it’s called a facebook group.

I figured it out. TerpNet uses a system called Ning ([Ning. Create your own social network for anything.](http://www.ning.com)) and the information must have come from an account I had on a different Ning social network.
