terrible sats!!

so i took the sat…three times. and of all 3x, i scored pretty much the same terrible scores, highest combined being only 1840 which makes me probably the lowest applicant ever to apply there. i did pretty well on the act in both the english and math section, but on my app, i submitted both the act and sat. my ap courses, essays, and ecs are legit, i hope that is, BUT i know they take the best scores from whatever test and yet they WILL see all three of my horrible sat scores–will they reject me?! im a female and instate but i dont think that helps, seeing tech still prefers guys.

my combined was 1750

Tech does not prefer guys. It is just that GT is a large engineering school and many males rather than females are interested in engineering. Tech will probably give females much leeway on admissions because they are trying to equal the ratio of males to females.

What is your math+reading score?

1280-sat
30e, 33m-act

Use your ACT scores. Your english is very good and your math is excellent.

I made a 1290 and got in

thanks…but i already submitted both and regret it. oh well.

1290>better than my 1250

Your SAT scores aren’t terrible. They’re actually not that bad at all. And your ACT score is great! Higher than their average.

No. If you look at the admissions statistics the admit rate for men and women is roughly the same. This contrasts highly with other schools that DO selectively admit women.

Yeah, your ACT is good enough to get you in.
