Test date vs. Easier test

I was talking to a couple of seniors and they advised me never to take the october sat ii tests. They were generally, for almost every subject, the hardest. In their opinion, June was second hardest usually, but the fact that you’ve just learned the material offsets the difficulty. The test dates they suggested were november, december, or january since they’re randomly in the middle of the school year and are usually easier.
Is this actually true, that the test date has something to do with the difficulty of the test?

it’s WAY better to take it when it lines up with your schedule-may for ap tests june for other non-ap tests.

Pick whichever date you will STUDY for!

Actually, easier test=harsher curve.
either way, you will get around the same score
