<p>i’m an int’l student planning to apply ED princeton for engineering. I took the old SAT and 2 SAT 2’s(math 2c and physics). on the princeton website it says that freshman applying for the class of 2006 can submit old or new sat scores, and 3 SAT 2’s(one in math and one in phy/chem). </p>

<p>Is the 3rd SAT2 their referring to Writing? I just got the MIT application and they need int’l students to take 2 SAT2’s(math and phy/chem) and in place of the third SAT2, they need int’l students to take the toefl.</p>

<p>does princeton also have the same policy?</p>

<p>I think it’s <em>highly recommended</em> that you take the new SAT, and then have 3 SAT IIs (one in math if you’re engineering) so in this case you can take another SAT II in whatever subject you want. </p>

<p>I don’t remember whether writing was required, but I’ve never heard of the toefl policy.</p>

<p>I believe if you take the old SAT the SAT II Writing is mandatory, but I’m not sure…anyone?</p>
