Test Scores

I am Indonesian. I won several international and national science fairs. I also won a bronze in national chemistry olympiad. Besides that, I am a published writer, a journalism head, a captain in badminton, vice chair of national chemistry olympiad camp, a vice president of student council and a founder of an anti-discrimination youth community. I got deferred. But, I know one of my weaknesses: 560 on cr and 620 on writing, even though a 800 on mat. Am I deferred because of my test scores? What do you think guys? Thank you

Yes, that is most likely the reason. Those scores certainly contributed to your deferral, as 1980 is far below the average composite score of 2240 for those admitted last year.

You have to remember that Harvard doesn’t have a ‘formula.’
With certain applicants they choose to take them in right away, while with others they simply delay their decision

Thank you for the respond. I took the act today and it went well, I really hope a much better score in this test.
