Will really good test scores maybe be a disadvantage at UChicago? Kind of like an anti-creativeness/interestingness indicator?

i highly doubt it

The answer is a definite “NO.”

Judging from the college’s middle 50% of ACT and SAT scores:

SAT Critical Reading: 670 - 770
SAT Math: 650 - 760
ACT Composite: 28 - 33

Kids at Chicago are still creative and interesting, despite their outstanding test scores. Though I fail still to see the connection between test scores and creativity.

Does the ACT get more attention at UChicago bc. of its midwest location?

Both tests are accepted. A higher percentage of students will probably apply with the ACT to Chicago than to, say, Williams, but there is no bias for one test over the other.
