Testing Out of Texas Government?

I’m going to be attending UT in the fall as an EE major. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m an OOS student, but I have to take a Texas Government class that I can test out of at orientation.

Is anyone familiar with this test? I would like to know roughly how long it is, what type of material I need to learn, etc. Most importantly however, are there any books that are designed to help with studying for this test, or at least contain all of the material that I need to study?

Thanks.

We all have to take it(In state too, im EE as well, 2nd year now), I didn’t even bother, mostly because I was working before orientation, and didn’t have any time.

Thanks to both of you.

Sorry, I should’ve searched before posting.

foxshox, you can take it any time, doesn’t have to be orientation. My son will be a sophomore next year and he is taking it this summer.

Haha, well I found out after wards I got a 2 on the Government AP test, since I didn’t study for it, so at this point it doesn’t really matter.

darn - well it should be a fairly easy A if you use pick a prof wisely! haha

or a Community College, which is what im going to do

Smart choice, then it can be an “easy c.” HCC is the way to go for classes that you don’t want affecting your UT GPA.

Yeah Im doing San jac, probably second semester this summer.

My son is taking calc 2 second session, but at HCC. He took one of the econs last summer. Even though it’s a drag, it’s only for 5 weeks, and anything can be stood for 5 weeks!!!

Gook luck next year, you’ll love UT!! Hook Em’
