Can someone please outline tests required to take if aiming for an Ivy league school? Preferably in chronological order. My school offers IB.
Thanks

Hello. Seems we meet again by coincidence.
10th grade: If you want to take initiative, you can try to take the ACT and SAT in that year. You might not know as much as you will later, but it would be nice practice. You will possibly be offered a pre-ACT test (I think it’s the ACT Aspire). See what happens.
11th grade: Take ACT and/or SAT. I’d recommend trying the ACT (once or twice) and use KhanAcademy to study for PSAT that will probably be offered to you. If you want to, you can TRY SAT Subject Tests, but they may be too hard for you at that point. On top of that, I feel like it’s more common to take them your senior year for best results and conservation of funds.
12th grade: Finish off strong; take both the ACT and the SAT (and the SAT Subject Test) in this year NO LATER THAN DECEMBER. I’d recommend Math II, Science (Phys/Bio/Chem), and History/English for the Subject Tests (you can take up to 3 in one sitting).
For an Ivy League school, I would say a 33 ACT and/or a 1500 ACT will put you IN THE RUNNING for the Ivy league; they will still be between high reaches and lottery chances, but at least you’ll be somewhere. Also, since you will be taking IB classes (which are supposed to be hard), make a HUGE effort to keep your unweighted GPA up. I’m talking 3.9+. And, in the end, just remember that many people (>99%) can’t pull this off, and if you can’t, that’s perfectly fine. You’ll just adjust and still probably wind up in a great school. No pressure; really.
EDIT: Quick question, also; how is your parents’ income? Are you on Free/Reduced lunches, or are your parents making below $60K per annum? How much can your parents afford to pay for college for you? These are all questions that I think you should ask, on this thread or somewhere else.
