Texas A&M Class of 2028 Official Thread

@cactusluver22 what are your stats (gpa/rank/test scores, etc), what majors did you apply for and when did you apply?

Same question as above. No decision.
Top 16%, 1st Quarter, 3.8/4 GPA, TO because 1060 (forgot calculator), Bus/PoliSci

My daughter entered through the Gateway program. They all stay in the same dorm during the summer.

Hi,
I recently chose engineering at Blinn yesterday, and im feeling quite anxious of not getting in.

If anyone knows, how long does it usually take them to send the decisions, how many days after specifically? Thanks!

@ChristiR93 :pray:t3:

It’s not very long. Kid #1 got in a couple days later.

With engineering, it could be a week or two. BUT if you chose it quickly (like the day or day after) then you’ll be fine. They’re just sliding people into slots. You’ll for sure get one of the offers and they don’t send students to McAllen unless they are from that area and it makes sense. So it’ll be Galveston or TEAB. And only Galveston if Teab filled up that quickly. So deep breath.

thank you! not that worried about housing filling up, but losing Blinn Team option would be bad. So, most people choose “Blinn Team only” then?

Same…please respond once you guys get news and I’ll do the same. Sounds like our kids are truly in the same boat. We’ve started focusing on the back-up college (Sam Houston) - daughter is now reaching out and trying to make roommate connections there since roommate/room selection is on March 1st. Does your daughter have a back-up?

@TigerGirl06 Did you end up going Test Optional?

Our back up is Tech, it’s just so far away.

No I sent in my 1300, but now I’m realizing I should’ve just gone test optional

When did you apply? App was submitted mid November.

Mid-september

My son did as well. We didn’t chose “Blinn Team only” until Monday though. It is so hard waiting. My son’s friend who was only top 22% received Blinn Team yesterday, while my son is Top 13% at the same school and still has to wait. How is this possible? I guess he still could have done waitlist, but that seems unfair.

@Tamc2 We also didn’t see the enclosures noted on the letter- welcome letter, financial opportunities etc. We checked through howdy and housing as well and can’t apply for housing either. No other information in AIS other than the acceptance to Gateway letter and ability to check off the date for NSC.
Congratulations!

Nope, sending in that 1300 is better than TO.

I really wish the admissions process was more transparent.
