Anyone with three options last week hear anything yet? (Specifically Blinn Team only)
Nothing but crickets.
For the umpeenth time, for my own sanity, I read back to the threads the last two years about options and timeline.
For the class of 2026, options came out on January 26th (Wednesday) and people started reporting admissions on February 1st (The following Tuesday).
For the class of 2027, options came out on January 31st (Wednesday) and people started reporting admissions on February 15th (2 Thursdays + 1 day later).
Class of 2028 got options on January 27th (Saturday). As of 2/5, I haven’t heard of anyone reporting back.
For the people who read the 2028 thread next year, I’m laying this out there so you don’t have to read every thread with a pen and a calendar. I’d also qualify the current emotion as a combination of cautiously optimistic (Given that, in the last few cycles, no one has reported choosing Blinn Only and reported not getting in), hopeful, and thankful that we at least got offered options.
We have not heard anything yet. I’m really hoping to hear something before we head to Aggieland this Saturday!! We selected TEAM only.
I was thinking the same thing! I don’t want to sign up for Aggieland this Saturday if we haven’t found out yet. Thanks for the update SGTGold! I am stressing about it, because we didn’t check AIS, and pick Blinn Only until last Monday. We didn’t realize we would get options over the weekend. My son and I are worried that everyone who picked Blinn Team only had all day Saturday and Sunday to jump ahead.
I was told the offer was in AIS. If I’m not mistaken, he was offered opportunity major and if he didn’t see a major he liked he could take PTA - guaranteed transfer with B or above. I didn’t see any of this myself, just what I was told.
FWIW - Just read the following on Reddit. No clue on accuracy, but the timeline does make sense…
Not sure if this is old news or not and pertains to applicants across all fields. Called this morning and they stated a large majority of decisions that will be going out moving forward will be Blinn or non-main campis offers. However, they said there will be a few full offers to A&M main campus. Told me that their goal is to have almost all decisions by Feb 11 and the rest will sporadically come out by 3/15.
Is it possible to get full admission for bio at this point ? =((((
I called this morning and was also told that the majority of any offers/admissions would be out by February 11th with some offers extending up to March 15th depending on major. Nice to hear someone else be given the same news.
@Henry91 looks like you didn’t apply until November, which is very late.
What are your stats (rank, gpa & test scores)?
I’m in first quarter with 4.5 weight and 3.5 unweight and applied test optional, Yes and I applied 10/11. =((((
I mean november 10 not 10/11
Assume you have other top college choices. If TAMU is still under your consideration, PSA Biology via TAMU Corpus Christi is very practical. Research that option and opt in when offered.
Who the heck knows if it’s first-come-first-serve, or if they put everyone in those buckets and they’re stack ranked by whatever criteria/scoring that got them there in the first place.
Praying everyone on here gets the outcome they’re looking for…
If it isn’t too late @Henry91 you might look into applying directly to TAMUG (Galveston). They have an Oceans & One Health major that is super popular, and I’ve seen several students apply (that wanted Bio, but were only offered PSA).
This is another option, as well as PSA TAMUCC.
And like @FriscoDad asked-hopefully you’ve got full acceptances from other schools.
Is it true that, after May 1st, if people decline then TAMU will open up more spots? If so, how does that work if students are supposed to commit by 5/1?
Approaching end of April, if NSC registration (usually considered as commitment to enroll) for a major is lacking the target, wait-listed applicants in that major will move to get full admission in the order of academic strength.
Don’t count on that…
@2024hopeful1 what are your stats, major choices and when did you apply?
Applied on 8/8. Average stats tho
@2024hopeful1 not knowing your major(s) or stats, I’d suggest being familiar with the PSA program and locations (tho all may not be offered).
You might also look at majors offered at Galveston.
Hopefully you have solid back up acceptances?
Nothing here… did you all see anything new this morning?
