Still waiting too. This is the longest it has ever taken for choosing Blinn Team only to get admitted. Hopeful for tomorrow. Keep checking every day! Fingers crossed!

D24 got her PSA offer today. We knew holistic was going to be a different beast from our top 10% experience with D23 but it’s still hard. TAMU is just a crazy numbers game at this point and with the top 10% rule, and the way the state is growing, we could have 75% or more of the freshman class from that pool. Texas IS California now, with a huge amount of applicants, not enough room in two big flagships with their own system schools and sending tens of thousands of bright, ambitious kids to flagships in other states that (still) give out merit. This isn’t a complaint just a warning to next year’s parents to have backups on backups.

I am hopeful tomorrow is the team option day. Not sure why… I have no intel so don’t read anything into it. But how amazing for everyone if I was right?!!!

I’m sorry to hear this. I was rooting for her. With my son being a junior, I went back and binged on all the other admission years and I followed you for both admission cycles. I’m sorry it didn’t work out as hoped.
What other flagships will you guys be considering? My son is at a tiny school so will absolutely be outside the top 10% so knowing which schools OOS to apply to would be helpful.

Looks like Engineering Honors acceptances have started going out to NMF. Wonder how long it will take for them to get through the rest of the apps.

It’s hard to manage the emotions. With our backup plan firm, we can afford to be patient…but the housing situation has us seriously on edge. Not just “finding a place to live” but “finding the right place for a Freshman to have a proper Freshman experience to live.”

204 days since application, 51 days of obsessive portal checking, 25 days since options….and now dorms gone so daughter needs to find roommates for apartments but until confirmation no one will take her seriously….this process has shaved at least two years off of mom’s life….lol. Does the Admissions Office take off Spring Break week? If so might not get an answer until end of March.

My daughter will need to find a roommate too! All of the TEAM kids will be in the same position. We will all have to coordinate!! And my daughter is public health too

Yall know I hate to be wrong. Ugh. I was really thinking today was going to be the day. Do not lose hope tho. Start losing hope when those that got the 3 options start to hear back and you hear nothing. Then it’s time to panic. Right now, it’s just AO trying something new, it’s probably more efficient the way they’re doing it but that doesn’t make it easier on those that wait. But I’m sure there’s a reason. And no, it’s not to torture everyone. They really are nice people. lol

Yes definitely….we are strongly considering Park West but the rate it’s going sounds as if they may fill up soon!

My daughter is also public health (with aim for nursing school)! We are in the exact same boat and trying to be patient but… We have a friend who’s son has had a great experience at The Rev behind Northgate. I think they are also getting pretty full but throwing it out there.

Honestly, I just wish Admissions would publish the date they plan to release decisions for those with the 3 options to take away some of the torture of checking each morning. If it’s not until a date in March, wouldn’t it be nice to know that so we can all stop checking first thing every morning?
