I priced it at the lower option of sharing a room, but yes, otherwise it looks like it would be at least $28K/yr. on a 10 month lease. Ouch!

I have been so excited today I almost forgot about voting!
I’m just hoping for the 7 tabs tomorrow! Can’t wait to go to College Station this weekend for apartment hunting. I bet it will be more beautiful than ever looking at it through “admitted” eyeglasses!

My friend just showed me her bill for 2024 school year. It was 17k for everything for a 2/1 that had 4 boys in it.

Okay! I’m trying to figure this out. At Calloway, it’s like $3000 per installment for private room vs like $1600 for shared room. Includes meals.
Calloway villas is around $800 a month for private room. No meals.
Is that right? Per installment is per month, right?

For Callaway it is 10 total installments. I am not sure how Callaway villas works if it is a full 12 month lease or not. And the timing is a bit Squirrley if you’re using 529 dollars to make the room and board payments based on the fact that the first payment is due around May 1

Callaway House charges extra for parking and the food /meal plan and fees. We got a shock second semester when the bill was high because we hadn’t considered that we’d have to pay for parking both semesters. It was about $13k per semester all in. She has a private room in a 4x2.
Parking is per month to park in the garage and charged with the monthly rent. The meal plan is included in the monthly payment.
You are probably right on what is included - I just didn’t appreciate that we’d have to pay $13k each semester, so I had sticker shock. I had in my mind it was less b/c of the way they market the costs. Also, I didn’t pay careful attention.
