Let me guess…someone saying they’re on Blinn TEAM, and chances are they aren’t? Happens every year.
If they don’t have a TAMU email…they aren’t an Aggie.

*if they can’t purchase a Sports Pass, that’s another sure sign :-1:t3:

Bingo…

Another possibility could be if they opted out of their directory information being public. You can opt in or out in Howdy. If you opt out, you won’t show up in the directory.

They would still have a TAMU.edu email tho…

Yes, but would it show up on the directory page? From TAMU’s website:

Currently enrolled students wishing to withhold any or all directory information items may do so by going to https://howdy.tamu.edu and following the steps below:

  1. Select the “My Information” icon
  2. From the toolbar drop-down, select “Personal Information”
  3. Select “Directory Holds”

@KRFleenor asked specifically about tamu.edu email. I mentioned the directory and Sports Pass, in addition to the email.
Sure, I guess some students do opt of of Directory, but they can’t opt of an email.

Right, just want people to know that you can be a TAMU student and not show up in the student directory.

Got confirmation that student was not actually offered Blinn Team (nor PSA) but rather going to Blinn and then try transferring after freshman year. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I have a quick question for the Corp. Would the scholarship amount I recive be based off of my financial aid or something else. Any information would help.

Scholarships can be based off of financial aid and/or merit. My son received a merit-based award before we even finished his FAFSA form.

@AbdulAlimi i thought you got PSA?

I just received a call from the Corp of Cadets offering me a special admission, which i was completely surpised about! So my admission is completely through the Corp of Cadets

Oh wow! I’ve never heard of that.
So what is your major?

The major they gave me is English. They told me this is given to those who originally were given PSA and that I would be able to go the main campus however because engineering is full, that wont be my major. Im extremely grateful for this opportunity, because apparently only few students were picked from what he told me!

This is fantastic…I guess?! Had you originally shown interest in the Corps? Are you familiar with what all the Corps involves?
Are you okay with English major?
I’ve never heard of this, have you,
@Christi1993 ?

Yeah i have shown interest in the corp and they say I can always switch my major. So my goal is to be strong in the core and focus on my studies so i can switch to ComSci with ease.

We need @FriscoDad to weigh in.
Attempting CompSci-or pretty much anything in Engineering-will be incredibly difficult. Perhaps there’s something similar, but in another college, that might be close.
