To my knowledge, you can take yourself out if you press the do not allow button in the howdy portal under directory release.
Yes, we did not do that so this is why we are nervous
Does your application portal still shows ‘In Review’? What major did you apply to?
Yes, it still shows in review. Biomedical science major…
I am not sure if name showing/ or not showing in the directory means anything
yea i wouldnt worry too much about it
any acceptances today? non auto
Any thoughts @ChristiR93, @52AG82, @FriscoDad? He is still under review in AIS. Sweating bullets over here and praying it is a glitch. Do students stay listed in the directory if offered Team, PSA, etc?
PSA are A&M system schools, completely separate from TAMU.
TEAM, TEAB and Gateway are considered full admission.
As many have suggested, at this point, VERY important to read up on the various pathways that could be offered-Google, A&M website.
No clue about student directory? Have student contact Admissions maybe? I’ve never heard anyone mention name dropping from A&M Directory, at least not before student was offered a decision.
NSC for January admits stated today, maybe the system is having a glitch or refresh?
@AggieLove what are the stats for your student?
I was offered PSA and still showed up in the directory.
@52AG82
We know it its highly competitive, but were hoping for at least TEAM
Biomedical Sci major, Biology 2nd choice. 3.63UW, 94.18 W (our school doesn’t rank) TAMU ranked him 2nd quarter
In state, First Gen student, 1200 SAT (know this is not ideal), 5 AP classes, 1 honors class, 100+ volunteer service hours all over the community, job for 3 years, JV/Varsity Mountain Bike Team for 4 years, placed 9th in state of Texas for his division. He has been accepted to all other schools he has applied to but only wants to be an Aggie…we are saying our prayers!
Good luck to him. And yes, it is super competitive. I had a 3.8 UW gpa, first quarter, bio major, school leadership, good ECs and got PSA. I went test optional so not sure if that was it. That was in 2022.
@AggieLove sounds like a great kid!
BioMed major, 2ndQ and 1200 SAT definitely won’t work in his favor. I’d be very familiar with the PSA route…which can be a blessing for many! And it’s only a year.
Keep us posted!
So true about PSA. I was devastated when I got PSA, but surprisingly I loved the two semesters I spent at TAMU Corpus. Smaller classes, beautiful campus on its own island, very nice dorms — and where else can you spot a live crab in a classroom? True story. I also met my bestie in Corpus, which was way cool as she was PSA too. We both transferred into TAMU last fall, which was a super easy process. I had a great, first fall semester in Cstat (got three As and one B (chem 2 was super hard)). Going into my second semester as an Aggie and everything is great. I’d be happy to answer any PSA questions.
Thank you @Tee2, I’m sure I will have some questions for you if we head down that path!
I checked AIS this morning and my son’s major was changed to Economics for both first and second choice last night. Application still shows under review.
Mays has completely been removed, but seven tabs now show in Howdy portal.
First time we’ve seen any changes on his account since he submitted on 8/2.
What does this mean? Is there still an option for Mays?
Just scrolled up bc I think I remember you posting. TO really hurts this year. I would have thought his GPA and rank was a shoe-in for mays. Will he want Econ?
@AggieDad1996 that means an offer is coming!
But for Econ, Mays is no longer an option.
If he wants to attend A&M, he needs to be watching Howdy closely, to have the link open up to pay $75 non-refundable Housing deposit.
What is TO? I’m guessing it has something to do with too 10%? Thanks!
test optional
