We need @Christi1993 to chime in!
She’s the expert.
We have a friend-current junior at A&M-who only applied to Mays. He entered as General Studies (and is now in Mays), so that’s why I asked about major options.
I’d think if it were TEAM, it would have an indication.
General Studies is a great option! Congrats!
Congratulations!!
That is a new path that started in the last couple of years. I remember reading about in the College Confidential class of 28. I would suggest searching in there but I would say this is a very positive development!
I think this explains it General Studies - Texas A&M Career Center
Do the TEAM kids receive the big packet from A&M in the mail?
Also, is it realistic to do TEAM without a car on campus?
Yes because they are consider Full admits to A&M.
Our daughter had the exact same thing happen today. Hopefully it’s a really good sign.
There is a bus that goes to Rellis. If they live on campus, it is really easy. If they have an apartment on the bus schedule, they will need to ride to campus and catch the bus to Rellis.
Yes! So cool to get it. We found out March 5th and received the packet March 22nd.
Whoop! This is so exciting! Doesn’t sound like gateway if it’s saying Fall. I believe “Opportunity” majors decision came with an email saying to choose from the open majors and then they had them listed below. So keep watch for an email or for AIS to update with info on the next steps.
Congrats to all getting this. Gateway offers will come next.. maybe even this week but definitely next week if the pattern holds true.
Did your son receive the email last week with the options to choose Blinn Team or Blinn Team/Waitlist?
nope no email yet on anything from tamu, but we live in College Station and lots of local kids get Gateway so we were curious if it was Gateway but sounds like no.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Heading down to TAMU to take my son to night with the Corp. Have not heard about acceptance yet. Is it worth spotting by the admin office to say hi and to put a face with the applicant? Since we did not do a tour?
You’re out of state, correct? I sure wouldn’t come for a Night with the Corps, until your student has an admission decision at this point.
There are very few decisions left.
A&M likes to see demonstrated interest-offficial campus tour, meeting with rep, Corps overnight, etc…prior to application.
Can’t hurt. But not sure it helps at this point either. Keep us posted.
Major is General Studies (GEST)
Awesome!
Sooooo, I’ve been preparing myself for 3 options or PSA. I’m just trying to make sure I’m understanding what this is. There isn’t an option that quickly needs to be selected?? This is dual enrollment to BLINN and A&M college station, aka TEAM?? Or is this something different?
