Most definitely just for Auto Admit.
Last year it took about 24 hours for the housing portal to open up after Auto-admit acceptances went out.
Thank you!
Housing is open now -
We are holistic and still waiting.
I am confused on how many documents we have to request for admission? For context I am ranked in the top 1% so I should qualify for auto admit. I know auto admit still has to do STARS but they also have to submit transcripts and rank? Do we have to request anything else? This is what I asked for in my request.
Yes, you need official transcript with class rank. You only need two LOR so no need for counselor to do if you already have two teachers connected in CommonApp. I recommend asking for the high school profile as it will support your class rank and speed up the green check marks on your required documents list.
Why do they need 2 LORs?
Does anyone know what the earliest acceptance timeframe is for Engineering Majors from previous years? Is it mid September or beginning of October? Thanks.
All applicants, except NMSF are admitted to general engineering to go through ETAM. It usually takes 3-4 weeks for engineering review to complete.
My son is a NMSF, so I wonder if they will direct admit him at the beginning for his #1 Engineering choice major. Or they wait until later like Spring time to allow him to direct admit.
Yes they will admit him directly once NMSF is confirmed with the major code shown in Howdy portal.
FYI Regarding Housing:
Please be sure when you do Phase 1 for housing application, you complete the entire process and pay your deposit. You should then know when Phase 2 will open up for you. Every cycle there are some that think they complete Phase 1 but didn’t and they lose out on timing of the initial acceptance time stamp for housing. Don’t be that person!!
For those that have completed Phase 1, please let the group know if they are still giving the Phase 2 info upon completion. This part may have changed.
My son was given a time in 5 days when phase II will open for housing.
Dd was given a date and time for phase 2.
My understanding is that NSC dates will come out in October and once you book it it’s a formal acceptance. Two questions:
-
Is it better to pick an early NSC for class availability or wait for AP results?
-
Once a student picks an NSC, are they required to pull their application at other schools?
Thank you!
No, not at all. It isn’t a contract. You can continue to wait on other apps. You only lose deposit.
Also, classes open up with each NSC. So go when it fits your schedule. And don’t worry about AP. You can always change schedule later and accept AP credits when you need to. There is no rush.
Thank you so much!!
Any engineering majors received the banner in the mail yet?
My daughter is Mays, not engineering. No banner yet
