Go to anything and everything offered for TAMU admissions. Including zoom calls. My son did this and got a $3000 scholarship from our regional TAMU office here San Antonio. Not saying it is going to happen for everyone, but that is all he did and we were surprised when he was awarded the scholarship.

We do not have an application in our housing portal… do you?
Not yet. I do remember now that it did take awhile for my daughter’s housing application to show up last year. I can’t remember how long we had to wait.
