The wait is so tough! Just wanted to say that my daughter barely missed direct admission into Mays a couple of years ago. She was accepted as an AgBusiness major, and then transferred into Mays. If he gets in and does well, he should be able to transfer in without a problem. Hope you get good news soon!

Here’s the most recent requirements to change major.

Thanks for sharing this! It looked like on the Thursday of this week last year some received the email about Team, Wait List, or both so wondering if some of us will hear anything today.

I think we are getting close to that and for TEAM offers to go out as well. My daughter got her TEAM acceptance (not the options) Jan 17 of 2024, and I think it was similar last year, so hoping for some news for many next week! I think Gateway usually follows the week after. Getting closer!

Anyone been to a LEAD Summit event yet? My son will be attending on 2/6. Would like to hear from others who have attended already and to know how your experience was. Thanks.

My daughter is trying to hold on to hope but barely hanging by a thread! She applied early: Psychology Major. Anyone heard from that department?

See my post above. The next couple of weeks should start to bring a lot of answers and options for kiddos, if she is willing to accept a pathway like TEAM or Gateway if offered. Home stretch!

My DS is an out of state applicant. 3.92/4.5 weighted GPA. 1240 highest SAT. Current US Army reservist on split ops. ROTC and Corps of Cadets if admitted. Chose Global Studies as major. Hockey player in HS and lots of community work. Thoughts on his chances? I know his SAT isn’t great but any input on his chances would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. What is his rank or what was he assigned by tamu?

Out of state in a very competitive academy HS. I think he was 35/225 class rank or so after Jr year on his transcript. He’s in the Army reserves and has conveyed his commitment to Army ROTC and the Corp of Cadets if admitted.

Okay good. Top Quarter definitely helps his application. I believe him being in the Army reserves will help as well. Sounds like a great person! I hope he gets in! Please come back and let us know.

Also, check out the options he might get as well, just in case… Like blinn team

This has probably already been shared here but found out today from someone that works at A&M that they had 82,000 applications this year. Congrats to those who have already gotten in and best wishes to those of us still waiting!

Oh geez. I have not seem that. Insane. Thanks for sharing.

Has there been any confirmed releases of admittance since after the holidays?

I haven’t seen anyone on other boards mention anything. I understand they are way behind this year, but when should we see the next big wave?

I thought we’d be getting some acceptances via TEAM this week. Have not seen anything.

We were told that they could be releasing more decisions anytime now but that we should know something by mid-February. Painful.

I have heard that acceptances go out on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Question for those with National Merit engineering students – Is yours planning on direct admission to a major or choosing General Engineering and doing ETAM after freshman year?

Mine was admitted to a specific major but is considering switching to General. We were told that NMF get their first choice during ETAM, but want to consider all the pros and cons before making any changes.
