I understand that holistic decison could go through March, but to send out options and then not offer any timeline and let people wonder what option they MIGHT receive if any at all is really confusing. The engineering kids who got options heard back very quickly. I waited until end of Febrary with my oldest few years back with lesser stats and lower GPA ,and it was straight TEAM, so I am not new to the wait and see game. Trying hard to stay postive and be patient when seeing others moving forward .
Got PSA. Completely devastated as a Business major. Wishing the best of luck to those who are waiting on TEAM, waitlist, or still under review. Dont lose hope! Congrats to the senior class of 2026, we made it so far!
I was, I spoke with some counselors and decided to switch to Mays since my profile was better suited for it.
When did you switch majors to Mays? Because Mays was full in October, so unless you switched by end of September, there’s no way you would’ve been considered.
Lots of great business schools in Texas, hopefully you applied to other schools.
I was really hoping for a TEAM offer for Mays.. I switched shortly after Mays got full and I wasnt sure if they had already looked at my application as Engineering first choice. Maybe I made a huge mistake. I’m just glad college applications are over, I had no idea what I was getting myself into as a first gen. Got admitted to UTD and UH business programs, now I just have to choose.
UTD and UH are both great, solid business schools! And you may have good luck with scholarships, especially as 1st Gen. Hopefully you submitted all scholarship info when submitting college applications? Search for any and all 1st Gen scholarship opportunities-scour both school websites, use Google and watch deadlines!
Do PSA students receive the “congratulations” banner in the mail?
Maybe, maybe not-it would depend on the PSA school. Not all schools send banners or other, some might not send anything.
Are you asking about the A&M specific banner? If so…NO…PSA isn’t A&M admission.
This is such a crazy year. We have a friend who got in to McCombs at UT and received PSA today. Best wishes for all still waiting!
Just wanted to give everyone some hope. My D received the options to be considered for Blinn Team, Waitlist or both a few weeks ago. I didn’t check here first and she chose both because we thought it maximized her options. Her portal status changed yesterday and she has been admitted. Kinesiology.
@Christi1993 hearing that some full admit to Mays happened yesterday. Has this happened in the past? I thought once Mays was full, it was full. Interesting development if accurate.
Where is this intel coming from? Mays has been full since November. And we are talking high stats getting 2nd choice. And NEVER have we heard of anyone getting Mays post December.
So…. Any full admit to Mays would be unheard of.
Happy to hear of the hope for the future but leery of it being accurate (except maybe a one off missed autoadmit)
My son just got off the waitlist and was admitted into May’s yesterday.
I saw on a Facebook group as well someone got Business in the last day or 2. Everyone was like your kid won the lottery! I also new direct TEAM (no options) this past week and heard of a Gateway or 2, so it’s definitely different than prior years it seems. We still have no update but are prepared for a late PSA.
That is incredible. Congrats and the first we have seen coming off waitlist. Did you select both or waitlist only?
We selected waitlist only. We had pretty much given up on A&M. He had some other great admits for business - Penn State, Ohio State, ASU, Rutgers and Indiana Bloomington for pre-business. We were joking that we are collecting all the states except for our home state. We did get in UTD, but he really did not want to go there.
That is so great. First time ever we have seen waitlist only find out befoe anyone else and almost 100% positive we have never seen anyone get mays off the waitlist. Unicorn year!!!
@Christi1993 and anyone else with thoughts: My son was PSA offered last week and we’ve been chatting about options. He also really like Arkansas (admitted, housing deposit done as one of his top options). He wants to major in Sport Management (both schools have it). While talking the pros and cons of PSA, he said, “Why would it be bad to go to Arkansas and transfer to A&M after 1 year?” Other than the automatic admission to A&M through PSA or PTA, it seems like a great option for him. Obviously he has to make good grades, etc., but do you see any real negatives? Does anyone know how much harder it is to transfer to A&M without PSA or PTA? Good luck to all as you make your decisions!
Love Arkansas. Beautiful campus!
As for transferring, you have to have 24 graded credits (dual credit counts). Also have to have all required courses completed before applying. Needs to be done… before… spring semester. So with that, it’s hard to get it all done.
You can still apply but they will defer for spring grades which means you won’t get an answer til summer. Hard to make plans for sophomore fall semester.
Can be done but no guarantees. Happy to talk about it further if you want.
