Hello!

I recently applied to Texas A&M University and was wondering what you’re opinions are on me getting accepted. Here are my Stats
GPA: 3.63, with IB Diploma Candidate
SAT: 1940
Rank: High school DNR( which is why I am concerned)
Extracurriculars: head of finance for Model UN, Treausrer for BPA, Founding Partner KIVA Microfunds, Boy Scouts and Federalist Party Railroad Commisioner- 2014 Texas Boys State

my school doesn’t rank, and i was recently admitted with similar scores and GPA, so I think you have a pretty good chance. this website does a good job of giving the admissions requirements for every kind of student:) http://admissions.tamu.edu/freshman/admitted gig em!

Hey NHP senior, I have slightly lower GPA (~3.5), no IB diploma, identical SAT, 29 ACT, I am a boy scout, and coicoincidentally I also ran for railroad commissioner, in the Federalist party at boys state too, weird right? Anyways as a review applicant I was admitted mid December. Tatianah’s doesn’t rank which is permissible (usually counselors at said schools are asked to approximate), but if your school does rank you are REQUIRED to report your rank. This was explicitly explained by my counselors (a&m and common app schools require rank). Now don’t be too worried with your rank I am about in the top 35-40%, but my school was nationally ranked by US News and World report, A&M recognizes this and gives me the advantage over say identical student in top 30% at school with a poor reputation. I have heard they won’t consider a DNR student from a reporting student, so I would email your A&M admissions representative for your region, and get that rank out pronto, unfortunately, might be too late for engineering or business as rolling admissions tends to fill those quickly.
Typo: from a reporting school…
