<p>By the way, the Best Western isnt a Tier 1 hotel. That would be the Marriott across the street. But the Best Western gives good financial deals and its not put too much of its money into its facilities and artwork. That would be too flashy.</p>
<p>We always stayed at the Marriott (with the Rice rate) because we are elitist snobs. (there was an outlet mall in Conroe on the way to Houston, though)</p>
<p>Well, <em>I</em> stayed at the Omni when I took DS to visit Rice. (of course, my mom paid for the room, so I wasn’t being elitist…)</p>

<p>Of all the people I know who have gone to Rice (including my older brother), none of them have been particularly wealthy, just very smart (well, except my brother who was there on two athletic scholarships).</p>
