where can i find last year’s syllabus and textbook names for classes like intro bio and chem?

You just wait until you’re in the class for the syllabus. However, for the books, just go to the bookstore website.

thanks random question…what kind of calculator did you use for statistics?

TI-83-84, w/e. I personally have an old 83(89 is too expensive plus I really don’t understand how to work the darned thing. Simple calculations seem to require more steps and caution than on an 83).

when is the best time to buy/rent textbooks?

I would wait until classes start (or around that time) just in case you decide to swap courses or something.

that makes sense. i was looking through the classes to try to make a schedule. how do you know if the classes are just a semester or year long?

Many of the science intros. have a two semester sequence. Most of depts have no such thing. You should perhaps go to the dept. website and check the major requirements to reassure yourself.

thanks you are always helpful

Professors do make last minute changes to their syllabi, plus you may be changing classes through drop/add. I wouldn’t order books in advance unless you pretty sure you’ll want it.
