I notice for the American Pageant 12e and Chemistry 7e (Zumdahl) textbooks, each seems to have two different versions. One has a little badge at the top that says “For Advanced Placement Courses”, and the other doesn’t. Both have the same cover, and are from the same edition.

I am wondering if there are actually any differences in the Advanced Placement version. It seems to me, you have to pay almost twice the price for the one with the Advanced Placement badge from various sources.

American Pageant…wow…bringing back memories from last year. They have some awesome section titles. I.E. “TR Brandishes His Big Stick.” Need I say more?

^^ Gotta love the Pageant. Great writing, like “6 million years ago a swirling orb of dust and carbon came to rest to become what we now know as the planet earth.” “And the bouncing baby of industry sprung forth from the fertile womb of late 19th century lady liberty.”

I’ve got your AP Chem book, and although I haven’t seen the other version of that book, I know that in AP Bio, we had an AP version and regular, and the regular was much harder to understand and way more in depth than was required for the exam. I never used the non-AP version. I guess this year they didn’t even bother giving us the regular version.

My favorite part? The section discussing nativism and the attempts made to discourage immigration and discredit the Catholic Church through the publication of “lu****l fantasies about runaway nuns.”

Yeah, I used AMSCO to study instead.

Edit: Apparently the combination of particular letters trigger a censoring program… I guess I should have said that according to the book, publications were made by the American Protectivism Society involving lust-filled nuns.
