Textbooks for 2011 fall

Are most the General Ed classes the same for everyone? Because I’ll either be majoring in Pol Sci or Bio Sci. I know this doesnt matter much (if at all) in Freshman year, but I’m hoping to find out what text books I’ll have to use so I can read through them in the summer. Even if its not what textbook I’LL be using, i’d appriciate one with the same info. So i was hoping current students could tell me if there are any classes I’ll FOR SURE be taking or probably will, so I can get a book with that info. Also, if you could tell me what was the exact textbook you used. Thanks!

It depends on your major and your AP credits/ placement, etc…

oh ok. I’m in calculus, so I’ll finish that. I’ve never taken an AP test, but if i did i’m pretty sure I could do good in US history (i got a 740 on the SAT II. I know thats not that great, but its okay), and spanish. So is there no accurate way to tell what text books I’d be using? Is there a list of classes somewhere?

There is no accurate way. The books each course uses vary year to year (new editions) and professor to professor. The only ones with some stability are science textbooks, but those costs hundreds of dollars. There’s absolutely no reason to try and get a jump on it.

However- you can look on the Norris Bookstore website and see booklists for winter quarter classes.
