Textbooks with companion sites

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I checked my college’s bookstore to learn which books to buy/rent.
There is this book for my calculus course with an online companion website:</p>

<p>Is the only option buying? I am asking because as far as I understood, when you rent books, supplemental things like DVDs and access codes are not available. </p>

<p>college freshman here, so any help will be appreciated…</p>

<p>In my experience, access codes for sites like that could be bought separately (though sometimes they’re expensive) if your textbook didn’t come with one.</p>

<p>The code, however, is cheaper to buy online as opposed to buying the code from your bookstore (at least it is at my school). My only experience is with WebAssign though.</p>

<p>Oh yeah I am not buying anything from the college’s bookstore. I am recommended by upperclassmen not to, because so expensive. </p>

<p>thank you both, I guess I now should look for buying the “online study center” separately.</p>
