i’m confused about which textbooks to order. Besides it saying “Required,” alot of my classes has 4 or 5 books that says “Choose Pckg or Compon.” Does this mean it is required to buy books.

also, when i DID try to reserve or buy books, they automatically put my payment type as “STUDENT ID” and they asked for my account number. Is this account number my… actual bank account number?

For the first question, I’m not totally sure on the abbreviations, but for the second it’s asking for your student ID number (the one on your ID card if you’ve been to orientation) since the pre-Fall textbook ordering charges your books to your student account.

oh thanks wow, haha i was going to put my Bank account # too. that would’ve been kind of bad.

Oh well… i don’t know which textbooks to buy. because they give me like a list of 8 for one class. and there are none labeled “required.” just some that said “Choose Package or Component.” and i’m not sure if that means it’s that i have to buy it or not

I think it means that you only have to choose one of the versions to buy. Like the same textbook may have a special edition or one with extra cds, so you may choose to buy either of the other editions instead of the original.

don’t get the textbook from the bookstore. It’s so much cheaper on half.com and amazon.

The three above are different versions of the same one. The first one is the textbook with a solution manual. The second one is a “special edition” of the 7th edition…I assume there’s probably some extra problems sets or a cd or whatever. Then the last one is used.

I assume you are taking mat 16? The link below is the book used for the series. Also, it’s still cheaper when you buy the textbook and solutions manual separately at half.com or amazon.
