Thank you for all your time and effort in providing us with so much helpful information, for your support and for hanging in there with all of us.

alamemom, I hope you finish your Master’s soon and dreamupsided0wn, I hope USC appreciates your amazing determination (they’d be fools not to have you!).

Thanks, petiza. If it was up to me, ALL of you would be accepted. You are all amazing and deserving and are going to have great futures at the wonderful (and LUCKY) schools you have chosen.

Yeah seriously thank you all to the cool people who have made these last few anxious months manageable.
Those status updates still drive me nuts
Moving onto Chapman U!

A much deserved thread here. We are all driven people who care enough about our dreams and the dreams of others to make CC somewhat of a home. We ease each others minds and give insight and encouragement to each other to help such an important process in our lives go along a little more comfortably. I thank every single poster here from the experts… Dream and Ala to the ones who peeped in even once. I know I will one day see major companies, medical break throughs, block busters movies all under the real names of these wonderful aliases here. Good luck to all and have a wonderful life.

Dream and alamemom–and everyone else–thanks from me as well. My daughter hasn’t heard yet; I’m sure it’s a rejection, but at least she’s in good company! I’ve been following these threads like the crazy obsessive mom I am for weeks now, and you guys are just great. If I had a college (and I did go to Princeton, where I wouldn’t have a chance in hell now…) you’d all be IN.

I also want to thank alamemom and many others (kind of like the Oscars, too many to thank and can’t remember them all). They are so helpful and encouraging. USC is one of the more active and positive forums in CC. Even though my son most likely won’t attend USC, I still come here to read posts from familiar names. Keep up the good work :)

I agree…thank you everyone you posted day after day. As a mom, I have enjoyed and learned so much from all of you. Good luck to you all. btw…my son was rejected this morning. He is moving on to UCSB most likely and I am sure will be very happy!

werty, I don’t know much about the other schools, but Cal Poly is nothing to sneeze at. If my daughter doesn’t get a decent financial aid package from USC or if she just doesn’t feel she wants to attend for some reason, she’ll be at Cal Poly! I feel comfortable with both schools for her. Yes, USC definitely offers more diversity, football spirit, gorgeous campus/buildings and a certain amount of prestige. But, again, I know a lot of people who absolutely love Cal Poly and alums who are working in satisfying and lucrative careers as a result of their schooling at CPSLO.

Best wishes to you where ever you end up!

Thanks to all of you. I’m turning my sights to Cal Poly, CU Colorado (Business honors program and $$) and Santa Clara - all B-schools.

I may appeal; not sure. I am too drained emotionally to think about it at the moment. But, at least I can move on now***

Dream…I appreciate your sentiments very much. Honestly though, I think you are INCREDIBLE. Your stats, organizational skills made every thing so clear for all of us. I wish there was some way for SC to see that part of you. They would know what a rich addition you would be to SCA. I keep praying there is someone on here from admissions, looking for that one special person that can make a difference. I am certain that person would be you.

PLEASE post the very second you find out. Also, do what I said, appeal the financial aid packages. It works from what I have read.

I haven’t checked my mailbox yet since I don’t have the key and my parents won’t be home until 2hrs later, but I’m 99% sure I am rejected as well. Perfectly expected though.

Nevertheless, I never feel like the past 3months I spent on this forum are wasted, not at all. At this moment, words are never enough to express my gratitude for all the encouragement, comfort, warmth, optimism, and kindness I found on this forum. I remember when I started my chance thread, people commented that they would be surprised if USC does not welcome a student like me. So many other times, I would not have been able to hold on if not for the amazing support we have for each other. I truly wish I was a part of this wonderful trojan family.

Most sincere congradulations to those who are accepted, and best wishes to those who are denied admission. We will all bloom wherever we are planted, as long as we keep fighting for a brighter future under the same sky.

Werty,
Look closely at Santa Clara (you can still surf- Santa Cruz). Their Business program is very highly rated with excellent placement at graduation. They are very connected in the Silicon Valley.

I’m going to visit them next week. I’ll probably look at Boulder too since I have scholarship money and got into the honors program and the B-School, (and I can rock climb and snowboard) but not sure if I want to be in the same school as my brother. I’m also going to visit Cal Poly where I qualify for the Green Light B-School progam. (surf is great) Everyone I know who goes to any of those 3 schools all love them.
