I just want to say thank you to everyone that hangs around to help one another on this site. You guys helped me diagnose my daughters medical issues, helped me with my daughters health insurance and helped me in general not strangle this kid as she slowly becomes an adult.

Thanks for helping me buy a washer, dryer, etc. Thanks for letting me know its not just my kid that’s driving me crazy…

Thanks for sharing your political views back in the day. It really helped me see others points of view. Thanks for the financial education …priceless.

Thanks for your compassion…The LTS thread will stay with me forever.

Funny thing is I found CC looking for help with my sons college choice way back in 06.

Really, just thank you. Thank you all so much.

My feelings, exactly, sax. I’ve come to CC with a similar array of requests, and CC folks have come to my rescue. I don’t know of another site like this.

I feel the same way about the LTS thread and, more recently, the sunriseeast thread.

I actually find it easier to get informed opinions and support here than in real life on several topics. This is a special group and especially this cafe!

Sax, what a wonderful, warm and articulate note of thanks. I couldn’t agree more. I’ve used this site for so much more than I’d ever anticipated. And I’ve been a visitor for nearly 9 years!

Thanks to YOU for saying it so well for so many of us!

CC is a great community and a wealth of knowledge from people with a shared interest in education, amongst other things. I often hear news here first before it pops up on my phone or hear it in the media.

Back in 2007, I learned about the acceptance emails from my daughter’s university before she did ! This site is a great place for all kinds of ideas, advice and just a good old anonymous rant.

LateToSchool was a member who died of cancer several years ago. There is a thread entitled “Support for LateToSchool.”

I echo everyone above. This is a wonderful group of people. Several of my family members are now known to ask me what the people on CC think when questions arise. They no longer think I’m nuts.

I agree. Even when we disagree, I find so much support here. My friends all think I am an “expert” on the subject of colleges and don’t believe me when I say it’s only because of CC.

I feel the same way. Not only have I gained priceless information on the college search process, I have gained info and support about so many other issues affecting our family. Lately I have counted on the parents caring for parents thread. It helps so much to hear that others are traveling the same road. Thank you to all for sharing!

I’ll add that posting here gets me to acknowledge what’s on my mind. Whether I share my worries about my kids, figure out what to buy — clothes/make-up/appliances, complain about my mom, find a good book to read or movies to watch or get advice on how to declutter, I know I can count on you all.

One thing that I love about CC is that we’re (well most of anyway) all around the same “stage” in life. Most of my co-workers have babies, toddlers, grade-schoolers…they’re all busy discussing the latest elf-on-the-shelf trick or such nonsense. They don’t much care about my kids’ exam schedule or job woes…

I also first came to CC for my son’s college search (HS 2006) and have stayed on. You are my go-to folks for everything: medical info and appliance info and vacation info and recipe info–you name it!

Thanks to everyone.

And I will also never forget LTS and Sunriseast–they both let us into their hearts and very souls and I only wish the ultimate outcome was different.
