There are many theories about what happened, but the people who know won’t talk. The most rationale explanation is: that some members of the Board who are used to running their own businesses wanted to see quick drastic changes. They were apparently disappointed that Pres. Sullivan was more of an incremental leader who sought input from the affected people before making changes.

They tell us we don’t have any right to know what changes were sought by the Board. In fact, Pres. Sullivan was completely blindsided by the forced resignation, and so was everyone around her.

A large number of the emails between the boardmembers were never publicly released.
