<p>I just wanted to post a HUGE shout-out and thank-you to MichaelnKat for his fabulous recommendations for restaurants in Philly for my D’s UARTs audition this weekend.</p>
<p>We walked to El Vez Friday night and had an incredible dinner (yes the guacamole and Margaritas were wonderful and we had enchiladas (D had veal and I had chicken) that were so unique (and we’re from Texas! 
). The atmosphere was so much fun and the service was impeccable. </p>
<p>Saturday night we walked to Mixto and shared (portions are big!) the best Cuban meal! We ordered the Montuno de Lechon: “a Cuban feast of shredded roast pork, served with rice, steamed yuca, Cuban tamale, sweet plantains and avocado.” It also came with a side of the black bean soup that Michael raved about (he was right-it’s to die for :)) We went early enough that we did not need a reservation. Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Loved it! </p>
<p>Thanks Michael! You made our stay in Philadelphia so much more enjoyable and we really appreciated it.</p>
