<p>I’m looking ahead to Thanksgiving travel plans. The academic calendar says the last final exam is on the Monday before. Do the dorms stay open through the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, or does everyone have to be out by Tuesday? Thanks!</p>
<p>Plan to leave by Tuesday. And also reserve a spot on the bus to the airport. Classes for winter term start on Monday, Jan 3, 2011, with dorms opening Saturday, noon, Jan 1st. <p>If you are not coming along to drop off your S at the start of term, plan to come for parents weekend; Oct 16-18 (and make you hotel reservations now).</p>
<p>The dorms generally close at 2pm on Tuesday. The airport only busses won’t have tickets on sale til about halfway through the term, though. (But as long as you book the flight after about 8am you’re fine with transportation–the first bus generally leaves at 6am, arriving at the airport around 7am.)</p>
